Definition: “Very little space, cramped quarters, as in there's not enough room to swing a cat in this tent . This expression, first recorded in 1771, is thought to allude to the cat-o'-nine-tails, or “cat,” a whip with nine lashes widely used to punish offenders in the British military.”
In this crowded space we call the internet, I wanted a place of my own to share my thoughts, ideas, creations and express some views that might otherwise be uncool. So I created No Room to Swing a Cat.
My goal is to try and write something interesting once a day. If I find it interesting enough to write about, then someone else might find it interesting too. Although an endeavor like this is far easier said than done, and because I usually have a lot to say and have multiple projects going on all at same time. Maybe I’ll just share some stories that I’ve picked up along the way. I think this would be a better way to post here than on X/Twitter, even with the ability to post longer posts with my paid account. This way I can simply just cross-post and see what happens. I’m sure I will also use the notes feature here on Substack for very short posts and single images.
What will I be posting about? That remains to be seen and what people are interested in reading the most.
All aboard, here we go!
